Mawa Lawyers is the business name for the legal
entity called NIUGINI LEGAL SERVICES LIMITED
(“NLSL”). NLSL was incorporated under the Companies Act, 1977 on 23 November 2021.
Before NLSL was incorporated with the Investment Promotion Authority(“IPA”) and trading as MAWA LAWYERS (“firm”), the principal of the firm, Mr. Paul Mawa, was a sole practitioner and conducted legal
practice under his own name as PAUL MAWA LAWYERS.
The firm was initially formed in 1996 when Mr. Paul Mawa was granted an Unrestricted Practicing Certificate by the Papua New Guinea Law Society.
